Joliet Junior College needed recruitment posters promoting their fine arts department to the nearby high schools. My design aimed to connect with the 'oddball' artists. Creatives that love to think outside the box and explore. Tarot cards became my overarching theme due to their current popularity and positive messages with a dark appearance. "DREAM. CREATE. MANIFEST." Became the slogan as a way to encourage the students to make their own path.
Tarot cards are widely recognizable as methods of guidance which inspired the idea to use them. The cards chosen to be displayed within the illustration were purposeful based off their meanings.
The Moon- Mystery, Subconscious, Illusions, and Intuition
The Sun- Joy, Success, Vitality and Confidence
The Chariot- Willpower, Determination and Control
"Understood, Encouraged and Nurtured"
