Metal band NEMA needed a cover design for their album "Blind Devotion" which focuses on the insidious and subtle warping of religion.
The album cover is designed with a strict black and white color scheme reminiscing the often harsh black and white thinking that can be seen in religions. An eyeball surrounded by sharp points, circling around it like halo or a target while the text is used to make the iris. Legible but twisted, warped in a way that feels wrong and uncomfortable. Everything is recognizable, familiar even but wrong. The exact feeling NEMA sings about in their album.
"Recognizable, Familiar but wrong"
Further collateral designs for merch that can be sold at venues during shows.
