A coming horror movie based around the Nacken from Scandinavian folklore. The need was for a movie poster and teaser to be designed for promotion of the film.
The movie follows a young detective following a serious of missing persons cases in a small town in Sweden. It plays like a classic detective film until halfway where it shifts into creature feature with the reveal of the Nacken being a much real presence and threat to the main character.
With this premise in mind the poster is designed with the image of a local newspaper article reporting on the missing persons case, torn away to reveal the Nacken behind it all painted in blood red. The colors used are a simple black and white being sharply contrasted with a sharp red in a similar vein to classic creature feature films.
