An alternative grunge and rock band, Miasma, needed design work for a primary and secondary logo as well as a cover design for their album "Breathing Wound". The album work maintained a focus on decay within the air that slowly takes hold. Using various grimy imagery in connection to the lungs and blood vessels. The typography is also manipulated to shift up and down as if breathing.
Created a custom lettered logo for the band. Miasma is often connected to a thick fog or haze like imagery. Trying out various styles honing in on that faded, fog-like, visuals. In the end the chosen logo contains letters formed from shifting forms that drift off to the side. The -S shape from the primary logo carries a strong and unique visual that it also serves as a secondary logo that can be used for smaller merch designs. Keeping in connection to the name Miasma the color palette focuses on darker greens for a grimy sickly feel and contrasting that with an electric blue reminiscent of the bold guitar work in their music.
Collateral merch designs that could be sold during concerts. Lighters, buttons, pins, stickers, anything small is highly sought after as they're easy to carry and hold onto throughout the night.
